The Detroit Lions 'defensive tackle' Ndamukong Suh is over in the UK to host tonights Superbowl 'Superbash' party at the O2 Arena hosted by Chrysler. Suh took part in the Gumball last May across Europe along with fellow NFL player Cody Glenn of the Indianapolis Colts as part of a promotion for the latest 'Driver' video game! In 2010 Suh signed a five-year, $68 million contract with the Detroit Lions, and scored his first touchdown of his NFL career against the Washington Redskins. In his rookie season, he was named in the All-Pro Team, as well as being the Sporting News Rookie of the Year, the Pro Football Weekly and Pro Football Writers of America Rookie of the Year, the Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Year,  and the AP Defensive Rookie of the Year. Not a bad rookie season huh! However, last season he was also named "the dirtiest player" in the NFL after being flagged for nine personal fouls in his first two years, the most of any player in the league in that time frame. Suh became a Gumball favourite last year and we hope he takes part again this year, especially as the rally is coming to Detroit!

Next to Suh on the sofa was ex-England defender, John Scales. John took part in the Gumball way back in 2000, driving a new Jaguar XK8. At the time he was playing in his last season of Premier League football for Spurs, having had a successful career that spanned 16 years.

After starting his career with Bristol Rovers, he signed for Wimbledon in 1987 and became part of the 'crazy gang' alongside Dennis Wise and Vinnie Jones, that won the FA Cup in 1988. He signed for Liverpool in 1994 for £3.5 million, playing the best football of his career, and getting 3 England appearances as a result. He had a great time on the Gumball, and we hope to see him again in the future!

It's not the first time we've had Gumballers on the Soccer AM sofa, it would appear that their booking agent must be a Gumball fan, as their list of celebrity guests runs like a roll call of Gumball alumni, including; world boxing champion Chris Eubank, The Enemy's Tom Clarke, David 'The Hof' Hasselhof, The Happy Monday's Bez, Goldie Lookin Chain, Placebo, hard-man Tamer Hassan, Danny Dyer, and skateboard legend Tony Hawk amongst others!

You can follow Soccer Am, John Scales and Ndamukong Suh here on Twitter. Who can guess which Gumballer will next appear on Soccer AM? Any correct guesses posted on the Official Gumball 3000 Facebook pages will win a BIG bag of Gumball 3000 SWAG!
